Can You Guest Swipe Me?

Wheaton College has recently introduced three different meal plan options. They're not different in price or quality of food. The difference is in how many meal swipes you have for a semester and how many Lyon's Bucks™. I wanted to take advantage of the new and improved Emerson dining so I switched my meal plan to the third option: 150 meal swipes and 525$ in Lyons Bucks™. I never thought that I could run out of either. Between the two, I thought I had enough to keep me satiated for the semester. I guess I was wrong because I am out of both! I’m not sure if this has happened very often because the woman swiping my card in Emerson looked very confused when my card seemed to be defective. I got the same reaction from the woman swiping my card in Chase. How long can I rely on the puzzlement of these women? I was warned by my friends that my eating habits would work well with the most limited third plan. I didn't believe them; Wheaton dining would not let me go hungry, their meal plans must be foolproof! I ate willy-nilly, paying no attention to my dwindling numbers until that fateful day. I was buying people food, swiping strangers in and all for what? Once I ran out I wasn't as fortunate as the people I had treated. The "paying it forward" sentiments maybe don't have much power at Wheaton College. Don't get me wrong, I didn't starve. I'm left a sad remorseful student; the grasshopper who spent all summer singing, unlike the miserly ant who counted every meal swip and Lyons Buck. You might ask "what meal plan will you choose for next semester? Will you be on the unlimited plan now?" Despite all this, I am sticking to my guns: The third option is the way to go. I will be taking a lesson in self control and frugality next semester.
