Emerson House, one of the theme houses here on campus, created just the solution to everyone's problem. On Sunday night, December 11th, the night before finals week began, the members of Emerson House held a Cookie Drive. This cookie drive was to support Sojourner House and AIDS Action Committee. All proceeds from they received from the cookie drive was then donated to these to organizations.

The members of Emerson House created a Facebook page, where Wheaton Students posted their location, phone number and how many cookies they would like to receive. Then members of Emerson House hand delivered the freshly baked cookies to the various places around campus where students were hard at work studying. You could get three cookies for three dollars!
I have to say I think the cookie drive is a brilliant idea and that it would be a great idea to make it an actual program on campus where students can order delivered cookies more often then just during finals week! A freshly baked chocolate cookie is just what some people need to keep pushing through the pages and pages of reading that they might be concurring. My roommates and I participated in the event by ordering six cookies to our room on Sunday night. It was a great and very delicious study break that we all needed! We also supported great organizations in the process! Everyone should always eat more chocolate chip cookies!
